The two men forged a friendship guiding along the deserted beaches of the Bay of Fires, with a shared passion for the endless pleasures and benefits of the wilderness, it wasn't long before the Wild Pedder idea was spawned. Lou and Cody began working with the idea of an all inclusive multi-day guided wilderness tour in the Southwest of Tasmania. For weeks they waded buttongrass moorlands, climbing rugged mountain peaks and paddling Lake Pedder in search of the ideal itinerary.
Cody (a Williamstown footy-playing environmental scientist/geographer lad with a tendency toward mountains), and Lou (a Hobart town surfboard-riding Engineer with a tendency towards the ocean) met back in 2012 when Cody pitched his swag on Lou's roof in Hobart town following a night of festivities. At the time Lou thought this was a little different, and they fast became good mates and both started guiding a multi-day wilderness experience for a Tasmanian operator at the magnificent Bay of Fires.
An extraordinary passion for the outdoors and specifically Tasmanian Wilderness brought these two young men together, but it was their unique and personable style of guiding that gelled them into a fantastic team. For Cody and Lou, this new venture is not considered work, merely their life, love and passions on display. Come and join them on their next adventure into the wild.
It is with very much pride, and very much pleasure that Cody and Lou would like to present Wild Pedder.
